The Her-Story of Gobay's Ginger Snaps!

Esther 'Gobay' Kelly was a lady of a beautiful golden brown complexion at birth, so the midwife, Ms. Iola, named her Golden Baby. Over time, the nickname was shortened to Goldbaby, and finally Gobay, the name by which everyone in Hartford, Connecticut knew her, from birth to transition, at 95 years old, on February 5, 2026.

"Are They Done Yet?"

That was my mother's enthusiastic question often, when I was preparing a fresh batch of ginger snaps in the oven. If her excitement was any indication, she's far from alone. Thousands of people still love the warm, nostalgic taste of classic ginger snaps—they're simply looking for a healthier alternative.


That's why I created Gobay's Ginger Snaps, named in her honor.  It wasn't just an idea... it was inevitable.
